Advanced Treatment Options

• Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE): A radiologist uses tiny particles to block the blood supply to the fibroids, causing them to shrink and die without surgical incisions.

• Focused Ultrasound (HIFU): Guided by MRI, high-intensity ultrasound waves are focused on the fibroid to heat and destroy the tissue non-invasively.
